E-Commerce IT Support - German
Location: Transition from Dusseldorf, Germany after which position will be based in Brno, Czech Republic
Responsibilities:
As E-commerce IT Support, the candidate must use his/ her specialized IT knowledge, people relationship skills and language proficiency. E-commerce IT Support is responsible for troubleshooting of various E-commerce solutions and assists offshore programmers in better understanding source code. As this position is relatively new, the candidate may be required to travel to client locations to attend training and facilitate knowledge transfer sessions (3-6 months business trips). After transition is completed, working hours will be organized in shifts (morning and afternoon, working days only).
- Provide production application support in the following areas:
- Debug production log files and identify issues based on error codes
- Provide the required log file support to the offshore development team
- Provide German language support (based on the ticket description) to the offshore development team
- Provide/ set up minimal configuration settings on production systems such as email server configuration and ATG product configurations
- Ability to query the database and provide the required support to the offshore development team
- Web server and app server configuration settings, server stop and start based on the application needs
- Talk to end users/ customers whenever L1 team is not able to resolve or understand the issue
- Facilitate communication between project team, offshore and L1 support
- Report local country data on incidents, problems, service requests, etc.
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree
Skill set:
- Fluency in English and German - written and verbal
- Good analytical/ debugging skills (debug log files and find out the error codes)
- Knowledge of how to configure and operate Oracle Weblogic App server and Apache Web server
- Basic experience on any programming language such as Java, J2EE, C, PHP etc.
- Basic knowledge of databases and SQL
- Basic knowledge of Unix commands
- Knowledge of ATG preferred (training will be provided)
- Knowledge of ticketing tools (accessing, routing and closing )
- Ability to work in an international team
- Good communication skills
Experience: 1 - 3 years of experience
Requirement:
- Candidates must be willing to travel to Germany for period of 3-6 months

The candidate will handle activities related to coordination and delivery of trainings, assessments, and corresponding logistics namely in customer service and voice process areas, with the objective to provide employees with a supportive training environment and the management with training data within guidelines, policies and processes of Infosys.
