Infosys BPO delivered significant business value by streamlining procurement, buying and supply chain functions. Rio Tinto's transaction-intensive operations are supported by Infosys BPO's teams in Pune, India; Lodz, Poland; and Monterrey, Mexico. ‘The intangible benefit is a unique cross-geography work force that supports our growth,' said Scott Singer, Global Head of Procurement, Rio Tinto.
In addition, Infosys BPO established an offshore sourcing and procurement Center of Excellence. Infosys' expertise in global implementation of SAP applications was an added advantage, said Scott.
