Rio Tinto Transforms Procurement Process and Streamlines Operations

Rio Tinto, a leading mining group, sought to integrate its procurement outsourcing operations with finance and accounting function. The group also wanted to set up an offshore Center of Excellence but lacked labor to... address the mandates. The mining major partnered with Infosys BPO in two separate projects - Project Palm and Project Beech, to address their challenge and continue their growth story. Infosys helped Rio Tinto streamline operations and save 400,000 Euros and enabled significant process improvements.

Infosys Partners with Philips to Transform Shared Service Centers (SSCs)

Philips selected Infosys in 2007 to acquire and operate its Shared Service Centers (SSCs) in Poland, India and Thailand. Within two years of operations, Infosys implemented process automation projects, a transaction-based pricing model, leveraged best-shore locations... and reduced employee attrition. Currently, Infosys manages complex Finance and Accounting (F&A) processes and procurement operations for Philips.
